I am on full liquids for another week, which means blended Soups and broth, etc...but nothing of sustenance. I am having SO much trouble getting in 60 grams of Protein. I can get about 50, and my doctor says that's okay, but I am getting so sick of sweet protein. I haven't been able to find anything I can heat sufficiently, the protein goes weird when you get it hot and by the time I can eat it all, it is cold. I have tried unflavored protein from GNC, Optifast tomato and chicken soups...by the way..kinda gritty, and I have powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury Chicken Soup, which is okay, but you can't really warm it too much. I like my food HOT! I can't seem to add enough protein without it getting too gritty or clabboring because of the heat.
Does anyone have suggestions on how I can get protein in a form other than sweets? Or have a trick on heating protein with food? I'd appreciate any advice!
