13th - 19th June. Pledge your points!

Recommended Posts

Hello Everyone and Welcome,

This thread is for everyone who needs motivation and encouragement to get moving and to help make us accountable to ourselves and one another.

The Plan is to draw up a new thread each week, running from Sunday to Saturday.

You are awarded "Points" for exercise and everyone works to their own ability.

You get 1 Point for every 10 minutes of exercise.

You choose whatever activity you wish.

Each week you pledge your points on board - making a committment to achieve them, and then you strive all week to achieve your own goal.

You keep your own score and at the end of the week you must let us all know just how well you did.

Hopefully, this will be FUN!

We are looking for EVERYONE to join in, so come on and Pledge your points!

OK here I am. I have to adjust to this Sunday start of the week thing. I was thinking yesterday ended my week last week. OK so I am going to pledge 24 points (that's 240 mins right?) for this week.

Yesterday I did 1hr 10mins so that's 7 points so far, 17 to go. We are out of town Fri-Sun this weekend so I am hoping to get in all my exercise for the week by Thursday. We will be walking a lot on the weekend though.

Sunday - 5K - 70 mins - 7 pts

Monday - walk - 40 mins - 4 pts

Wednesday - aerobics - 45 mins - 4.5 pts

also Wednesday - cleaning (vigorous) - 60 mins - 6 pts

so tomorrow I need about 30 mins... but I plan to do 45 mins again so I should meet my goal whoo hoo! How are you doing?

Hi Christie,

Well Thurs has arrived, so I suppose you are getting ready to head off?

You are really doing so well with your exercise and I can see that you are getting a great mix.

I am being very slow to start but I won't give up. Slow and steady gets us there! I try to go out most evenings for a stroll with my 2 little dogs. They love it! I am still feeling a little tired at the end of the working day. It is now approx 7 weeks since surgery so I am not quite sure if this is to be expected. Maybe, I am just a little lazy? Exercise is a habit , and it is a hard one to get used to.

Enjoy your weekend,

Booklean

Sorry I never checked in before the weekend. I didn't make it to my goal by Thursday, but I did 3 hikes over the weekend so I'm sure I got it in for the week! :001_wub:

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
