Lifting weights

Hi Dr. Jossart. I had my surgery done 4/27/2010 with your partner in crime Dr. Cirangle. Start weight was 300, and I had the VSG surgery. I'm 34, and when I was younger (late teens/early 20's) I used to lift weights.

a few questions here:

1.) Generally, is it ok to lift heavy weights?

2.) How long after surgery is it recommended (I know i'm not supposed to lift over 20 Lbs for the first 8 weeks)

3.) I was told to eat 90 grams of Protein a day. When you start lifting weights (along with lots of cardio) how much more protein do you recommend?
