Excercise for seniors

Several weeks ago I posted that I cannot exercise because my doctor says to stay off my left foot with the diabetic ulcer. A few people replied with the reasonable suggestion that I try working out at a gym. My health insurance does include Silver Sneakers, but unfortunately because of the distance from house to parking lot, then their parking lot to the Y, it involves walking a total of about 4 blocks. Nope. HOWEVER, I may have just solved my problem. While fooling around online I found reference to DVDs that lead exercises for seated seniors! YIPPPEEE! I ordered one this morning, and should receive it on Friday. I'll let y'all know what I think of it.

Although its target audience is seniors, I would think that it would also be good for anyone with limited mobility or anyone whose size makdes regular exercise difficult.

Meanwhile, I'll just sit here and raise my legs up and down for a while.
