Unable to drink soup @ TOM?!

Ok, I've searched the boards and I found that it seems to be that some people have a lot of restriction during their TOM. I gathered that this generally lasts about 2 days.

I've been soo tight over the past three days that I'm only managing to get in Protein shakes. I've tried Soup, other soft/mushies and they get stuck/golfball.

I'm about to go on vacation Monday and I really didn't want to get an unfill. But even drinking Water, I can feel it sit for a moment then slowly drain through the stoma.

I got my first fill-2.0cc in 4.0cc band on 4/20/06. This was 3 weeks ago. I had a good level of restriction up to 3 days ago. Does this sound like my fill is just kicking in or is it still just related to my TOM?!?

I'm probably just getting upset over nothing, but it's kinda frustrating not being able to eat anything substantive in 3 days.

Thanks so much for all your help and support over the past few months, and thanks in advance for any help/suggestions.

I think I'm the opposite. I finally got my period to end (with a little medical help) and now I have more restriction than I did. Kinda half way between initial swelling and wide open. Go figure.

I've read here that lots of people have more restriction during their cycle - took me a minute to figure out TOM! If you weren't going on vacation I'd say wait out your period and see but I don't know if I'd want to risk my vacation with a too tight band - that would suck. Good luck and let us know how you're doing.

P.S. I had my first PB on the day after my cycle ended - I don't know if it was related or not. Either way, it sucked!

I am usually extra restricted for the majority of my cycle, and starting a couple of days before. So it could very well be your cycle, but it could also be your fill kicking in. I think if it were me, I would not want to go on vacation with the possibility that I would spend most of it or all of it too tight to enjoy anything but protien shakes and broth. You know?

My first fill did not kick in until two weeks later. I could not imagine 2CCs in my band, I only have 1.5 after my SECOND fill and I am very restricted!!

And I am tighter during my cycle and also for a day or so after I fly. If you are flying somewhere for your vacation, you may want to consider the fact that some people do experience increased restriction while traveling.

If you are uncomfortable and pretty much unable to eat, you may want to have some taken out before you go on vacation.

Thank ya'll so much for the help. It seems to be better this morning, and my doctor basically said to stick it out for a few more days. Sigh. Hopefully I won't be one that gets tighter while flying!
