August 22

Hi everyone! Just wanted to introduce myself. I've been lurking on these forums for a couple of months, this is my first post. My surgery is scheduled for August 22. I started the pre-op diet today - so far, so good! I am super excited about getting the surgery done and I'm looking forward to seeing where this journey takes me. Best of luck to all!

How's it going with your pre-op diet? Mine hasn't been too terrible except the shakes taste awful. The rest of the food is okay.

My diet is 1.2litres of milk and 2 low fat yoghurts per day pkus lots of water!

I have lost 14lbs in my first week, my operation is next Tuesday!

Very excited!

I'm also getting mine on August 22nd. They said they only needed me on a 3 day pre-op diet but, after reading so much on the benefits of going longer, I decided to start mine yesterday. So, of course, I've lost nothing so far! HA!

Anyway, I'm way over amped for this but, trying to play it cool.

But, I can't! I'm so excited! I have made the changes to diet and exercise, now I just need my body to follow suit!

I ahave been loosing a minimum of 1lb a day but didnt lose anythi g today but I have been having little bits to eat beacuse I honestly feel like eating my own arm!

I am in the Uk so Im guessing our pre op diets are gonna ve slightly different?

My doctor gave me the food to eat on the pre-op diet. It's things like shakes and soups that you mix with water. It hasn't been too bad! I've cheated a little bit a couple of times but still down 8 lbs. My goal is to be down 12 by my surgery date.

I have surgery August 22 as well!!!! All the best to you on the new journey. We should keep in touch

One more sleep!!!!

I'm home and feeling more rested in my own bed!

Gas pain has subsided which is great. The port incision is quite sore but the other cuts are perfect, no discomfort at all.

Keeping up with pain meds and have just made myself a smooth chicken cup a soup! Yummy!
