I plan a procedure at True Results also. December 6. Think it will be good to do it before the end of the year. .

Not much activity on this thread. Are there no other December 2013 lap bands scheduled???

I am scheduled for surgery on 12-18-13. I am nervous and excited. I would love to have others out there to talk to!

Officially start my preop diet today! Yay! No surgery date but my office said to start diet so I would be ready to go when insurance approved. I'm aiming for dec 2.

Wow! Can't believe they are starting the diet before a date. December 2 would be wonderful! I am penciled in for Dec 27th pending insurance approval. I hope to hear something this week. Is your diet all liquids or can you have some solid food as well?

How exciting! Do you have your insurance approval? I hope to get mine this week.

I do have my approval. Lucky for me, the whole process was really fast and easy. I will be on an all liquid diet starting a week before.

I believe my doctor does a two week liquid diet. That is actually the thing I am most nervous about. They said once they get the final approval from my insurance, I will have to come in for all my dietary instructions.

I'm to have 1-2 protein shakes a day and 1-2 lean meals a day. No fats. I can have green veggies and 1 cup of fruit. No carrots or bananas. I was shocked. I was expecting an all liquid diet. I got this!!

Wow! That's great! Sounds much easier than all liquid. My understanding is the liquid diet is to shrink fat around the liver. Strangely enough I was just diagnosed last week with a fatty liver, so I'm sure the 2 week liquid diet is in my future.

I am scheduled for a December 13th band. I am so excited fellow bandsters!

Im not sure everyone knows how to find this thread..It took me a few days but i found it lol...Im scheduled to get my band Dec 5th..Im super anxious! I just received my approval through insurance Tuesday. Compared to other stories i heard my process was pretty quick. Im sooo happy this is happening! I wonder how much weight i will lose the 1st month with the pre op and post op diet. My bday is in January. 20 pounds will be an awesome gift to myself! Lol...I hope the other December Banders find us!! I love the support on these forums! Good Luck everybody!

Welcome Thick2slim! Glad you found us, LOL. I am scheduled for the 27th of Dec. right after Christmas. I have also wondered how much I will lose and how quickly. It seems that there are all kinds of results depending on the amount of effort you put in. I plan to make the best of it. I've tried so many other diets and I am ready to get rid of this weight once and for all.
