Port question

Recommended Posts

Does anyone ever feel like the area where the port is feels tender? I am 3 months out and today the spot where the port is approximately located feels a little tender now and then. And I feel it very easily to the touch. Freaking me out. Supposed to have 2nd fill tomorrow. Worried something's wrong. Down 56 pounds. Any advice or knowledge? TIA

I am two months out and mine kinda freaks me out, too. I posted earlier today that It bothers me when I exercise. It is uncomfortable to the touch but not to just sit around.

Yes mine seems to be tender too. I can feel it very easily. When I lean against things I can feel it. I think leaning over the washer bothers it and makes it a little tender. Good reason not to do laundry, lol. I had a fill so far and no problems.

It is very normal for the port area to be site months later. It talked a little longer to heal because its attached to a muscle. Definitely mention it to you doctor because they know best.

Mine is tender if I lean against something.....like the washer! I have noticed more tenderness above the port incision. It is more in the muscle above the port. It even feels kind of hard sometimes. Another question for the doctor when I go back next week!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
