Minor Breakdown

first let me give an update before I vent on my break down..My paperwork was submitted 12/5 and my approval arrived on 12/12 even though i didnt find out til the 17th. My doctor appointment is scheduled for 1/16/13 and surgery around 2/1. so that is where I am at!

so last night I went to Weight Watchers, like I always do, and we were doing a year in review and then discussing what we will do differently in 2013. I am not hiding my surgery to anyone, I have just been afraid to tell them. They have been my support system for 2 years with weight watchers and I had a major fear of losing that. Well last night we were talking about the future. When it came my turn I was already emotional because it has been a constant roller coaster for me for weight loss. I talked about my struggles and then i just stopped..like a deer in headlights. i look at my mom and whisper i need to tell them and she said do whatever you feel like you need to do..i started to talk and then i just starting crying. i literally could not speak. My mom proceeded to tell them about my struggles and that i was going to have wls. They were very supportive and just said they didnt want me to stop coming to WW. My WW leader gave me a hug and I felt better. i am not a good liar..I couldnt sit in there and lose weight after surgery and pretend it was because of WW. anyway, my fear of being shunned from WW is gone and now I just wait. :) Thanks for "listening"

Sometimes a good cry is just what the doctor would've ordered if he/she had only thought of it. I'm glad your WW group responded well to your meltdown. We all need lots of support in our fight against obesity, no matter how we choose to lose the weight.

Congrats on getting the insurance OK for the surgery. February 1st will be here before you know it!
