Shakes Or No Shakes?

I have never been a fan of shakes...none...not even the yummy ones from DQ or McDonalds ;) I tolerated them while on my preop and into my first week or so post op. I see alot of people on here are still using protein powder or shakes, should I be doing this? I get plenty of protein in a day, anywhere from 60-80grams from greek yogurt, chicken, turkey and lots of beans. I am kind of on a Chili kick. lol Am I good? I really hate the idea of drinking shakes, thus my reason for upping my protein in solid form. Please, any advice is greatly appreciated! :)

Thanks everyone for your replies. I'd rather eat my protein for sure. The only shakes I can tolerate are the premade ones. Like calorie smart boost and I only have them handy for breakfast if I'm on the road/in a rush. Otherwise solids for me! First fill in a week and I'm excited to see if it helps! I'm no restriction right now so I struggle. I'm doing very well considering, but I'd be lying if I said it wasn't a struggle everyday.

I still drink the shakes a lot for breakfast. I just find it easier when I'm trying to get my two young ones out the door for school in the morning. I don't have time to sit down and take my time eating breakfast. I was using the ones my doc had recommended but they were very expensive. I found CVS brand protein powder has just as much protein and just as yummy. I know before my surgery they warned me I may have a problem when they are blended with ice, but I have no problem, I can't do them with just the powder and liquid mixed.

I still do the protein shakes from time to time I enjoy them I use the 30calorie soy silk milk and nectar protein powder
