Has anyone ever switched doctors?

Recommended Posts

I have been having some problems with my band and not getting a lot of help from my doctor. Today I had all the Fluid removed from my band. I had 2cc in a 4 cc band. I was having problems with throwing up everything I attempted to eat. I had an upper GI and there is nothing wrong with the band. The doctor and I disagreed on whether to remove the fluid from the band. I won that conversation. What I am trying to find out is if another doctor would take me on as a patient? I am having a hard time dealing with a doctor that didn't seem to care that I have been throwing up 75% of what I ate. Has anyone switched doctors?

I have switched doctors twice. Once because I moved and once because I was not happy with the advice my doctor gave me. We are all entitled to a second opinion and, indeed, we should be getting them if we have a shadow of a doubt as to our treatment. The doctor is the expert but he/she works for you and in the end it is what you think/feel that will be of any importance to you. Do not let anyone run you over with their opinion.*

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
