I'm jst starting the process of getting the band. No cormorbities but bmi is over 45. Any advice on if this insurance will cover the band? I'm nervous and hoping it gets approved! Going to my first seminar tonight.

I have Anthem and I don't think you should have a problem with approval. I was banded on 7/20/12. My BMI was 42 and I have high BP.

my info was submitted on the 18th of this month , im still waiting for approval. my bmi is 60 and i have no other corrids. i just called a few minutes ago they said its still under review and can take 5 to 10 business days . fingers crossed. oh and i have anthem.

No news yet. I thought i would've heard back by now but i haven't so I'm going to call on Monday. I'll let you know as soon as I find something out! let me know too when you find out.

i called and got a nurses voicemail. so no answer yet its been over 2 weeks.

Well it's not covered by my insurance. Just found out...pretty devastated right now....

I called the member member services number on my insurance card. If you call that number, they can tell you right away if you will be approved or denied.

i called they say nothing has been done on it yet
