Bloated And Gassy!

I am almost 3 weeks post-op and am in the mushies stage. I think I have been pretty careful with chewing and taking small bites. Unfortunately, I have been getting gas pains and so bloated that I have needed to take Gas-X a few times since starting mushies. I haven't had any vegetables yet since I've been focusing on protein. I've been able to get, maybe, 2 oz. of chicken in before I'm full. Is this normal?? Thanks for any words of advice!

I never experienced the shoulder pain from gas right after surgery (7 days out) and I think it is because I would take a gas-x strip about once every 3 hours or so. It really helped. Maybe you should just take on before you eat and see if that helps clear up your issues.
