3Rd Fill

Well, I had my 3rd fill yesterday. I am up to 6 cc's in a 10cc band. I felt a little restriction with my last fill, with this fill I already feel "A LOT" of restriction and I am on liquids only. I am happy with the fact I have restriction but I hope it is not too much. Maybe my stomach is just irritated a little and will settle down in a few days.

If you can swallow liquids so far, that's a good start.

It's very common for your stomach to be irritated and swollen after a fill. That's why many surgeons require liquids for a day or so after, to give the swelling and irritation time to subside.

Be sure to take very tiny bites, chew it until it's total mush, and pause between bites once you're back on solid foods. It may take you a couple days and stuck episodes to adjust to your newer tighter band but it's all part of the learning experience.

Give it time. You have to relearn how to eat with each fill.

Well......I had to go get an unfill. I gave it until Tues and still could not get anything down so I called my doctor and said to come in. My last fill was 1cc so he took out 1/2cc. As of now I am much better! I am able to get food down and I am feeling full for about 4-5 hours. I have gotten stuck quite a few times, but my own fault. I am at a happy point with my band! Maybe just maybe my "green zone"!!!!!!!

Good for you! You are smart to know you are too tight. The biggest mistake I made with the band was having it so tight it was a struggle to eat. You will gain weight if it's too tight! I hope you found your green zone. Good luck! :-)
