I started my journey at 244 and I have a bike. My husband and I love to ride on a river trail near our home. The best thing to do is go to a good bike shop not walmart. Have them recommend something. The best thing to do is buy and larger seat, which is what I did.

I'm over 300 lbs and still ride my bike all the time. I would recommend going to a real bike shop (not like walmart or target) and tell them what you're looking for. They will know the right height, seat, etc. for you. It may cost a bit more than chain store ones but if you go to them and get a bike that is uncomfortable, you won't ride it. So spend the money and get one that best fits you.
