Has anyone with Tricare Prime North gotten approved this year? I am working with Duke and they called this morning and advised that Tricare required 6 months documentation. However I called Tricare yesterday and they said they did not. I also looked at the website and could not find it in the requirements.

i have tricare prime north, there is not a 6 month wait period.

my dr's office was convinced it was and it was not. i proved them wrong. get all your stuff done, pre ops etc, and once completed merely have them submit for approval. i was approved first time.

I am Tricare Prime South - no 6 month waiting period for me either. I had to do all the pre-op stuff and provide a bunch of documentation, but was approved on the first submittal. Sounds like "Duke" is requiring the 6 month waiting.
