Lap Band in Mexico

:deadhorse: I feel I am beating a dead horse. I want to get the lapband and my weight is 195 and BMI is 34.5. I will have to go to Mexico because the procedure is too expensive in the states. I could gain weight real fast to make the BMI. I have High Blood Pressure,Diabetes.acid reflux, and arthritis. I have TriCare for ins and they won't pay for it. They would pay for the more invasive surgery if I were heavier. Does anyone know if the drs in Mexico are more lenient. with the BMI.? Love to hear from anyone. Thank!

from what i understand, they are MUCH more lenient. As someone told me "if you have the money, you can get a band"

But don't put it past the American docs to lose a cash-paying patient! I have a BMI of 30 and my Houston doctor operated on me no questions asked.
