On the Inamed site, it shows that there is titanium in the port. Does anyone know if it is possible to have an M.R.I. with a metallic port? I know that you have to take off all jewelry, underwire bra, etc., so the magnetic field is able to work properly. This could be a deal-breaker for me and whether I get banded or not.

I have had an MRI and it's perfectly fine.

The card that my surgeon gave me says the band is MRI compatable. I don't see it being a problem. ~Mandy

I had an MRI and it was fine...the ER docs even came in and asked me what it (the band and port) was. Then I had to explain while doped up on Demerol...pretty funny.

My DH has a titanium plate in his neck (post disc surgery). Titanium is MRI friendly.
