Hi Everyone!

I went in to the surgical center today to get my EGD this morning. I guess this is the prelude to what is to come on Monday. I finally got to meet my surgeon as well. They found a small hiatal hernia, but nothing that would stop my surgery according to Dr. Duncan. My BP was high which led me to go to my PCP and he put me on blood pressure medication to get it down before Monday. I pray this doesn't stop my surgery. I have come to far to let this keep me from my destiny!!!

Hi Mich! Sending peaceful and calming thoughts for your blood pressure. Hopefully if your PCP got you on meds right away, you will be under control enough for surgery. My EKG was abnormal, but I had a stress test done two years ago. I talked to the hospital today to make sure there weren't going to be any surprises day of surgery, and I think so far so good. Hang in there!
