Has any Califorian people dealt with Anthem BC PPO..(pers select)...do they require a 6m diet program. I spoke with one the reps and she said no, and how long does it normally take to get approved..thanks

I had BBC PPC CA. no pre-op diet required. you have to meet with the surgeon, have a nutrtition consult, EKG, Psych eval. There may be one more eval, but I can't think of it. Your surgeon's office will know.

It took one week for my approval. I was obnoxious and called for the status. Also, you can request a copy of their policy on WLS criteria.

I also have Anthem BC. I got approved very quickly, no problems. I had to do the psych exam, nutritionist, and a medical eval done by my regular doctor.
