Home from surgery

Hey guys,

I wanted to encourage those who may be afraid of the surgery. I got home about 2 hours ago. I have to say it is better than I thought it would be. I feel better now than I did 2 hours ago. What hurts the most is the gas from surgery. Shoulder neck pain, and I can feel the gas moving in my belly.

So.... The doc told my hubby and I that he found a hiatal hernia when he went to place my lapband. He fixed it and placed the band as well. I am not sure what a hiatal hernia is but I'm gonna do some research. He said mIne was fairly large and it explains the hrs flux and heartburn .

    Glad it went well for you.

    A hiatal hernia is when a tear in the diaphragm causes a protrusion in the upper stomach. It's very common and not horribly serious but good you got it fixed!
