What if my BMI falls under 40 before I can get surgery? I am at 40.5 now, with no other real health issues.

    i think it will probably depend on your insurance. i'm a self-pay and my BMI is around 33, i have no other health issues and i'm going in tomorrow for surgery. it also may depend on your surgeon. i would lcheck with both.
