I live in the Columbus,ga area. I had my appointment today with my Pcm at Martin Army Hospital and was told that he will put in a referrel for my surgery.

My question is are there any surgeons in or around Columbus to do this? I cant seem to find any and i was just wondering if im looking in the wrong place.

I have Tricare and was looking for any feedback or advice associated with Doctors around the area (Up to/including Atl,Auburn,Birmin). What were the steps you had to take to complete the process leading up to getting banded. Any and all feedback is greatly appreciated!!

I did my banding in July of this year but unfortunately I had to travel to Valdosta to have it done and my fills are done in atl. There was once a dr here under tricare but thats a looonnggg story lol. you will be referred to albany most likely. For myself personally i had to see a dietician, psychiastrist and cardiologist. I would suggest going to your pcm and go ahead and put in refferals for the dietician and the pysch or else u will be goi.g back and forth. I was fortunate to get in at martin for the dietician but the wait was a month long and active duty have priority, thats why its good to go ahead and knock it out. The psych eval was put in and done within a weeks time. Feel free to hit me up anytime and I will help ya out. I love my band and would recommend it to anyone. We are leaving in December lol so I can at least help ya get ur feet wet. U can get surgery done in as little as 3 months from time of seminar.
