Reasons To Remove Lap Band

I am 20 months post op and have reached my original goal of 200 pounds. I have recently had some excessive stress and my band tightened up because of it so all of my saline was removed. I can eat anything I want now and I have no pain. My dr. did an UGI and it showed something like gristle near my band (scar tissue maybe?). Now I have to have a scope. If I am able to eat and do not have any pain and the band hasn't slipped or eroded, is there any reason to remove the band?

I hope not! At one time or another I've lost almost as much as

I hope to lose with this band. I should lose what I want in another

six or eight months and then what? I intend to go to eternity with

my Lap band, it's what'll keep me from gaining all my weight back.

My diabetes is as good as gone and sleep apnea is going. What

more could a guy ask for? I really hope you can keep your band,

you've worked so hard to be where you are, and it would be easy

to gain some back. Best of luck and keep your fingers crossed.
