I researched Dr. Rumbaut for about a year before I decided to go to Mexico. I chose him based on his credential listings and his reputations. He was taught by the doctors who invented the Lap Band. Plus, in almost every doctor's website I found, either Dr. Rumbaut was mentioned or they had learned from him. He is very well known. I have no regrets on my decision and he has done his best to help me on my adventure.

I'm wondering how many people here had him put it in and why they chose him...

He's not my surgeon but I know he is the very well-respected surgeon of others I know, including our local support group's co-leader. She lost more than 100 lbs and he took great care of her and all his patients from what I hear. He uses her in all his advertisements and on his website - she's a true band success.

Hope this helps.

Happy Band Journeys to all.
