I haven't been online much lately. I reached my goal of 135 in August 2010 and I have not weighed less than 130 or more than 138 since. I would post my before and after, however, after this website changed format I have never figured out how!

I am so happy with my lapband, it really changed my life. I learned a lot about eating and nutrition and now I have started a blog and Facebook page that are about healthy, single ingredient eating. I am posting about my canning, sausage making, rotisserie, cooking, etc. I think it is important to get back to eating like our grandparents did, join me as we learn how.

Please come and see me at The (New) Good Ole Days or on Facebook (And see a before and after picture of me!)

I added a recipe for pork stock on my blog, for those who don't can, you can always freeze it instead of canning it.

I will post a recipe on Monday for Italian Sausage Soup that I make from the pork stock and italian sausage. :D

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
