I had horrible heartburn before my surgery. Never have it anymore! You're right. It is amazing!

I hope it gets rid of my heartburn also. I have had constant heartburn since the birth of my second child and sometimes it's unbearable. Can't wait to get this surgery to start feeling better. I need to lose weight to fix my joint problems, if it got rid of my heartburn also it would definitely be an added bonus!

Yep - I was taking Prilosec for 11 years. After having the band, I no longer eat that greasy crap food anymore - three weeks after surgery, I discontinued the Prilosec. Even saves me some money :)

If I could add up all the $ I have saved already on fast food, tums, diet cokes, etc. i'm sure that over 5 yrs it would pay for the surgery.

Just save it up to spend on new clothes. You're gonna need em!

That has been the best side effect of my surgery. I used to have heartburn practically every day, so I consider this to be a major improvement in my health.

Prior to surgery I had been taking acid reflux medications for the last 6 years. I have not had to take anything since surgery on 6/8/11. Feels great to get rid of that medication!
