Third Fill

Recommended Posts

I was banded on 6/25/11. In the beginning it was great. I was never hungry. I got 5 ccs for my first fill. Everything was ok, I was still losing weight. My next fill was 2 ccs. I was hungrier than before the lapband and gained 4 lbs :o . Today I got an addittional 1.5 ccs. It was too much! My stomach started making crazy noises, and I was so full I couldn't stand it. Just from a couple of swallows of Water. Half a cc was removed. I feel pretty good now. Praying that I've hit the sweet spot.

Repost from another topic, but it applies here as well. I was banded 5-19-11I just got my third fill last week, 7ccs in a 10cc band. I felt restriction on the second one but I could still eat about 10oz which was more then I wanted. So now after this last fill I can get full on around 6oz, which is awesome, but the downside is I get stuck ALOT. I'm trying to take small bites and chew really well, but sometimes it doesnt matter, and unless I'm really determined to eat, I can only take a bite or two then give up because it gets stuck really bad. Good news is, I'm using my calorie counter and have stayed under 1200 calories every day since this last fill! I lost a few pounds but now its almost my time of the month so I'm retaining Water and have put them back on. At first I was sure I was too tight because liquid would go down VERY VERY slow. Scarily slow. But it goes down and thats what matters, because once you lose a bit of weight and the fat pad around your stomach shrinks, it loosens up a bit. I concidered going in for a slight unfill, but after those couple of lbs dropped I could tell the difference. The moral of the story is...if its still moving through, your good!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
