Breads

I'm almost 6 weeks post op and have tried some baguette bread and find I do not have a problem with it. Lots of info says to avoid bread. Is this just because of nutrition value? Will I still be able to tolerate bread after I get my first fill? Send your experiences!!

Thanks

I was able to eat bread in small quantities up until about three months ago, right after my third fill. Once you start getting fills it becomes harder, if not impossible, to eat bread without PBing. A lot of people can eat it if it's toasted. To me it's not worth the pain. Congrats on getting your band!

I think its just a difficult food but I do find I have less carb cravings without eating those types of carbs. Nevertheless I ate a toasted sandwich on the weekend!

I haven't had a sandwich since surgery. I've tried cheese fish, wheat thins, but have problems sometimes with those. I did try a little quarter size of crust off some french bread and got real tight with that little piece. So, for now I'll stay away from bread.
