Still doing research. Both the hospitals close to me are Centers of Excellence, but there are only 3 doctors in the whole county with a certification by the Association of Bariactric Surgeons. Does this certification make a difference? According to their website, the level of certification indicates how many surgeries the doctor has performed. No one has mentioned this certification in the posts I have read. Thanks

They have to do a # of operations to get certified and they mist be a real surgeon not say a plastic surgeon that want to do banding. Only choose a real surgeon that is board certified.
