Anyone ever damage port from ab exercises?

I was doing Ab Ripper X last night (from P90X) and about 3/4 of the way through, I was doing some exercise and I felt a sharp pain in my abdomen near where my port is. I always feel a little pain there when I do ab exercises so I didn't really think anything of it.

When I got done, I noticed if I inhaled a very deep breath, I would get a sharp pain in the general vicinity of the port. I'm thinking (hoping not) that I might have stretched something or damaged something.

Anyone have a similar experience ?

I lifted something last night and I think I pulled something around my port. I can't take a deep breath or it hurts. Hoping it's just a pulled muscles and not permanent damage!

Yeah, I get the same thing. I actually got a bad cramp in my port area earlier tonight when I was doing some exercise where I lied facedown on the floor. Seems like I never get traditional cramps from running anymore, the cramps go straight to my port. It's really annoying, and I hope it isn't something I'll have to deal with from now on. But it probably is...

Beeegut,

PLEASE call your surgeon! If you're doing the ab workout I think you are-you easily could have torn the port from your abdominal wall! I'm just saying!

That actually happens to me all the time I limit the amount of abdominal works out because it get these bad pains that I think are maybe like muscles spasms like if I sat up straight it hurts more so I give it a few minutes mean while I massage the area at the same time. I think its normal I never thought to ask the doctor since the surgery I've had my lad band for three yrs n still feel the same when I do abdominal work outs. I must say it makes a bit challenging especially since that's the area Id like to work on the most.
