Question regard surgery

I have a question:

I am scheduled for surgery in the summer and my kids will be home. I am taking a week off work, do you think I can manage two kids and move around or I should re-schedule during the school time.

Also, can I travel two weeks after surgery (by car, but I am not gonna be the one who drives).
