Gastroenteritis

Okay so I went for the scope and they found out that I have gastroenteritis which is a bacteria in the stomach. My doctor said it needs to be treated with 2 weeks worth of meds because it could erode the band and eventually cause ulcers-anyone else have this? She said I would have to wait for 3 weeks post surgery before I could begin treatment and treament would last about 2 weeks.
