Port Pain

7 months post banding and my port site still hurts constantly. Anyone else experience this? It's just very tender even to the touch. Dr. says there is some stranding and put me on antibiotics for a few weeks; still no improvement. Weight loss going pretty well and fills are ok (3 so far). Only at 2cc's right now due to a popcorn issue. I see lots of posts on here about eating popcorn or not, DON"T DO IT!!! I did it once with no issues but the second time it got stuck. Even with only 2 cc's I can't even swallow my own saliva right now. Had a barium swallow xray today that shows no slipping or dilation but also showed that nothing much is going through the band at all. Fun times!!

sometimes I get port pain too. It lasts for a week or two and then one day I realize it doesn't hurt anymore. My concern for you is that you can't swallow your saliva. That sounds like you are way too tight. Just a thought, you know. But we are supposed to be able to swallow our saliva. Maybe talk to your doc about taking a little out and see how that goes. Good luck.
