My First "Real" Fill

So my first fill was 3.5 CD's in my 11cc realize band during my port revision surgery (my port flipped). I had a little restriction then but still could overeat until yesterday. I got another 3.5 cc's on Monday afternoon and was not hungry after I ate 2 bowls of Soup and about 10 crackers 2 hrs later. I didn't eat anything else the rest of the day because I didn't even think about food once! It was the first time in my life I didn't think about food all day!

Then I ate soup, cheese, and chili yesterday and weighed in 2 lbs lighter this morning! Today I ate supper and got this pressure in my throat which is I guess my new "full" feeling and stopped eating even though I didn't get that old satisfied feeling I used to get after binge eating. Its sad to think I have to wait for that full feeling as it takes time to pass thru my band, wasn't what I expected to feel, but is uncomfortable enough to remind me of my eating disorder and that I need this tool!

Your experiences were interesting...thanks for posting. I don't get the same feelings as you, but I need to pay more attention to my cue. Every fill adjustment has to be relearned because the cues change.

Thanks Mimi! I have good restriction I think because since I posted I am eating small meals or protein shakes and if I don't chew well food gets "stuck" for a moment (feels like I have to burp or a lump literally in my throat-not pain but uncomfortable) then I have to wait for it to pass and chew better so it doesn't happen again. I ate a salad and 1 chicken tender for supper and was full! Yay! I love my band after my second fill!!! :)
