band adjustments

Hi. I had lapband surgery 6 yrs ago. I lost approx 80 lbs & have not had a "fill" in 3 yrs. However, I finally got an adjustment yesterday. I only gained 5 lbs in 3 years & my Dr thought it was great. I still had some restriction thats why I waited so long for an adjustment. Ok, the Dr said my band took alot of cc's, however, I do not feel very restricted. In fact, I don't feel any more restricted than before the fill. In the past, I had trouble even with soft foods for a few days. Has anyone had this problem (if it even is a problem)? Could proper restriction kick in later? Doc was leaving town this week so I can't call him. Thanks...........I hate to think I paid for nothing!

I don't have enough time in to help with your question - but I have to say AWESOME on maintaining your weight.... it gives me hope on the other side of goal ;)

It is possible to get more restriction after an adjustment....sometimes it shows up unexpectedly a few days later, which is weird, I know. When I feel the way you are, I always worry "What if the band port was missed and I didn't really get an adjustment?". Since your doc is away, rest easy and do the best you can...you have proven through maintenance that you know what you are doing...congratulations because maintaining is hard work!!!

Best wishes and keep posting your journey!!
