Jalapeno Popper and heartburn?

So my husband and I went out on our monthly date on Saturday night and I decided to try a jalapeno popper since I love jalapenos. But to my dismay, I felt this really persistent burning in my throat when I swallowed it, as if it didn't go all the way down. My husband told me to drink a little bit of Water to help it down but this did not help either. So here I am, 2 days later, and I still have a really bad burning in my throat and my chest hurts like I have heartburn, my jaw hurts and I have been getting shooting pains behind my ears.

Has anyone else had this happen to them? And if so, how did you get rid of it? I am so uncomfortable right now!

It sounds like heartburn to me. Have you tried Tums, or something similar?
