band slippage

I was wondering if your band slips once does it mean it will again. I am very nervous that mine will again.

According to the surgeon who repaired mine, I am much more likely to have it slip again, especially if I start vomitting again or stay over-filled.

Please discuss this with your surgeon so you can avoid any known (to him) triggers.

I had my lap band done in Aug 2007. I had a slippage because mine was over-filled. My new doctor and I worked hard to fix it WITHOUT surgery. It's hard to manipulate the band in this way, but we were successful. Can it happen again? Of course. Take care of your band. Don't over eat. Make sure you are following your doctors menu plan. Listen to your body. Everyone is different. Good Luck.
