weight loss

What happens to be the average weight loss for 5 weeks post op. I had my surgery on 11/10/05 and 5 days prior to surgery I started the liquid diet(of course not on that now) and I have lost a total of 38 lbs. Am I losing to fast or am I average. The doctor says I have a small band around my stomach however many cc's that is.

I saw him on Weds. and he said he didn't want to give me a fill until January, that is if I need it then.

Enlighten me please.

Josephine

HOLY SMOKES!!!!That's alot of weight lost....you lucky person......I think the average is about 2lbs a week...Cindy

I wouldnt think there's an "average" as such because it depends on lots of things, like how overweight you were in the first place and how your body recovers from the surgery.

That's a super amount to lose though, enjoy it while you can. What a great head start!
