Hello I am in need of a fill. I have had the band for a year and never got one every time I would go to the doctor they would say i didn't need it but I wasn't really feeling full but I left it alone. So now I need to have my gallbladder taken out and there telling me i have to wait a month to get a fill. Does anyone know why?

Do you have restriction without it? Are you losing weight? If you can answer yes to both of those questions you can probably go without a fill a while longer.

Well they probably want do a fill until after the gallbladder surgery because I'm sure you're going to loose weight from that, and your stomach is going to be swollen a lot after that surgery, you're only going to want to eat soup anyways.. I had the surgery 6 months after I had my band placed.. So just take it easy, and like the previous post said if your still loosing weight then they don't give you a fill. Good luck with the surgery.
