Port protuding

Hey guys! I was wondering...as you guys are losing your weight, do you find it easier to feel your port? I'm down 33.5 pounds and I notice that my port seems to be a little closer to the surface of my skin. When I lose alot more of my weight, will I be able to see a bump where my port is?

If I would need to get a low profile port in the future, which I 'm thinking I probably will, what's the procedure like?

I had a consult today about moving the port and converting to a low profile and it is insanely expensive. If my insurance (Tricare Standard) won't help pay for it I will have to put up with my Alien protruding from my midriff. I am saving my $$ for a thigh lift which I need even more than the port. If I wear a one piece foundation garment Alien doesn't show, much at all. The doctor was a little miffed that I didn't call him when I had my TT, he said that was the ideal time to change over.

Just to add on to my last post...I haven't even had my first fill yet but I'm down 19lbs since surgery date and my port already protrudes a lot.

I know it won't be a problem finding it for a fill but I'm thinking as I get smaller and smaller this thing will really stick out a lot more.

It is already quite obvious, if I were to bare my belly now I know people would notice.

I don't plan on wearing bikini's but this may be bothersome later on . When I go for my 1st fill I will ask my surgeon already.

I thought I could just feel my port ( lost 25lbs since surgery) but it turns out that was scar tissue & my port is an inch below where I thought it was.

I have a low profile port & the surgeon is the only one who can locate it!! It's in my lower belly 1.5 inches under the incision scar

Have a feeling that its not gonna show anytime soon !
