I have had my lap band for almost 2 years now and for the last month I have been getting terrable heart burn. I have never experianced it before not even through pregnacy. I have my innsurance does not cover after care and with a new baby I regret to say it has been over a year since I have seen my surgen due to not being able to afford a visit with him. I have been eatting tums and have been taking nexium and it has not done anything to touch the burn. Water even burns going down. Does anyone have any advice.

Your primary care may be able to give you prescription strength medication. Do not ignore it. It can cause further problems.

Have a barium swallow to make sure your band and pouch are ok. I had terrible heartburn and it turned out to be a dilation and I needed surgery and a new band. Extreme heartburn with a band is not normal and it should be checked out asap.
