Do you ever start to panic?

I read these posts on erosion and slips and I just start to freak out. Every day I keep a prayer in my heart "Please God, don't let me lose my band!". But I'm sure everyone has that prayer in their heart.

It's almost to the point where I'm too scared to enjoy my success for fear that one day my band may be gone.

I know there are no answers. I'm just feeling stressed about the what if's.

anyway there's really no point to this post except that I worry about this on a daily basis!

The thing that really gave me me something to think about is the PM from a bandster in Israel where they've been doing the surgery for 10 years or so. She said that as far as she knows, nearly everyone has had to have a second surgery at some time for various problems. That scared me.! But then I also think that this is my best chance to get control of my weight; if at some point it needs to be repaired or removed, I will still have lost weight and improved my eating habits by then. So I am weighing the possible problems against the certain problems I face if I don't do something now. And ev en with the concerns, I'm going to go ahead. I keep reminding myself of all the people who have posted that they would definitely do it again, regardless of problems. I"m leaning heavily on that!

yes emily, that's similar to how i feel. if i can get the weight off with no preoblems that is good. if problems set in i think i would rather have it removed than to have a 2nd surgey (after losing weight and praying that i have learned how to control myself).

the good thing is that i have not heard of any related deaths. has anyone?
