Do any of you guys have any experience with birthcontrol post op?

I know RNY paperwork stated something about birthcontrol pills being ineffective because of the digestive changes.

Anyone know about IUD's? My awsome insurance pays for this too, after copay ofcourse. I don't want a surpise pregnancy during my weight loss journey but I do want to try after about 2 more years. There goes my 5 year plan.

Hey Jennifer, That one I don't know about....Sorry...as the dr he should know.

My doctor said the pill would not be effective, even though I noticed i Have had weird cycles for 2 months. For some reason they have been late for 2 months since I had my surgery.

Never heard this. Hmmm....surely would like to know!

My Dr. said that I should continue taking my pill so I will not get pregnant... I am curious to see what others say also.

My OB and surgeon said the the surgery should not effect my birthcontrol. My OB did say that I might have some breakthrough bleeding which often occurs when your body is going through major changes.
