Need Lap Band Buddy / Mentor Looking for help

I had my LAP-BAND® 3/09. I am down about 60 pounds. I am having a lot of difficulty with the surgery. Lots of chest pain and vomitting. Not able to get much down. Have not had a fill since June and have had saline taken out the last three times and will be going Wednesday to get more out. :scared2:Also my hair is now coming out in handfuls. :thumbdown:Anyone who has experienced this and can help me out please let me know.

Wow sorry you are having so much problems. It definately sounds like your still too tight. Are you able to keep liquids down? Your hair is falling out because you aren't able to keep much down and you aren't getting enough Protein. Are you taking protein supplements? If you can keep them down you might want to double up on the supplements since you can't keep much down. Make sure you tell your doctor all of this.

I wish you luck. I hope that they take enough fluids out that you can keep things down. Do liquids for a few days so that your swelling can go down. Maybe try some sugar free ice pops to help the swelling? If you can keep them down.

Thanks for the reply. It has been a rough year. I am not even able to get Vitamins in. I normally take a chewable multi, gummy chew D3's, Omega 3 and B12's and Viactiv chews for Calcium. I will try to start getting them in again. I am going tomorrow to get more taken out. It is weird, I have not had a fill since 6/09 and have went in to have saline taken out 3 times and this will be the fourth time tomorrow. Can't get even skim milk and sugar free carnation instant Breakfast in. Have tried others too.

How did you make out with your Fluid taken out? Are you able to keep things down now?

I am feeling better. They took out 1 ml and gave me a steroid shot to help the inflammation go down quicker. I am on liquids for 2 days and then mashed for 2 days but doing better. Thank you.

Wow I am glad to hear that you are doing better and finally able to keep things down. Keep up the great work.
