Hello All, I am thinking about having the lapband procedure b ut am curious about something. I have a couple of friends that have had the surgery, but had to have their Gallbladder removed. They were told that they had gallstones. Is this standard procedure that you had to go through? And, did they also lie to you instead of being up front? :thumbup:

I had my gallbladder removed 3 months after my Lapband surgery. Did not know I had stones untill I went to the emergency room with pain. It turns out that my pancrease was inflammed from one of the gallstones movement caused the problem.M

Anytime one loses weight quickly there is the risk of gallbladder attack and possiable surgery. Ive read this many times ,with my many many yrs of trying one diet or another. Its not nessicarily a complication of Lap band surgery.
