blood tests

Today I went for my first appt.to get everything started and was sent for bloodwork,it was the afternoon and I had already had breakfast and lunch and always before I have had to fast for atleast 12 hours before bloodwork,has anyone else had tests in late afternoon or were you asked to fast?I just hate to have to go through all that again,not to mention the cost.....

I had to fast for all of mine. I just had my first post surgery blood test levels. They did some stuff I haven't had done before, like vitamin D and calcium and protein markers. It was interesting.

Thanks for the replies,I finally called back and asked,they told me what they needed to see did not require fasting.I am new at this and still have LOTS to learn,so you probably will see me on here with more questions.Hopefully I will get the results soon,I am not good a waiting but from what I have read on here,I better get use to it.:frown:
