good surgeon?

I have to get my band removed (long story, basically it slipped). I am looking for a good Ft Worth surgeon that is not Richard Carter or Adam Smith. Carter put in the band and refused to take any fluid out when I started having problems. Smith (after several tests) couldn't figure out what the problem was. My primary care doctor was the one that figured out why I haven't been able to eat for 4 months...poor placement/slip. I have a letter of medical necessity to get it removed, just need a doctor. Any suggestions?

Hey sorry to respond without an answer to your question. I'm wondering since its been over a year since you posted if you ever did find a good surgeon in the area to remove your band. Mine was put in by Adam Smith, and I have a feeling getting him to do it is going to be a fight. I'm going in today to have the completely unfill my band, which will probably be a fight as well. I'm also worried that i've slipped. So we'll see. I really want it out if you have found anything out since you last posted this I would greatly appreciate the advice. :)

If you can afford to go out of Ft. Worth and go to Decatur, Dr. Stowers is amazing. He just did my band to RNY conversion.
