so someone told me about this person who got the band and was told her band cut her stomack why would this happen???

You have to know when someone tells you are someone it is probably half truth by the time it gets to you. LOL :blushing:

I dont think the band can cut the stomach, never heard of it personally. But it can erode into the stomach over time. There is plenty of information out there about lapband complications. Check out the forum here or google it.

its came from the nurse at my doctor office i guess they girl had to be medivac to vancouver.

A band "cutting" the stomach is rather unlikely, but it can happen, and has happened. It is more likely the problem was erosion, however the medevac part of the story might suggest something different, something more acute. Hard to say from that info.
