Pain!!!! Can you help?

I was banded on the 20th and I have this pain that is about one inch to the left of my belly button. There is no incision there. It hurts like hell when I stand up, pull my self up from a lying position, cough, bend over, etc....

Has anyone else had this problem? Is it my port?

Call your Dr. and double check with them.

If it makes you feel better. I was sore for a month after the surgery date. You are still healing. It is going to take time until you feel normal.

I think you just need time and rest. Dont push yourself.

Take care,

I was very sore there, I believe for me it was where they stitched my port to the abdominal wall (on the inside) I had one stitch that hurt sharply and after a couple of weeks, popped itself loose (that hurt) but at the same time, felt immediately better. Is there any redness to the area, warmth/hot to the touch, or swelling? Have you had any fever? Those are all signs of infection and should be called to your doc ASAP. I agree with the others that if nothing else, a call to your doc might give you piece of mind.

I called my doctor and he said it is probable where my port is attached. If it does not get better then I need to come in.

Thanks for all of you for your advice. It is good to know that others have been through this same pain and that it is ok. Probably wouldn't hurt either if I took it alittle more easy. (Fanatic clean freak) I know, I need to rest. So that is what I am doing all day today!!!!

Thanks again for all your help.
